About ISFA

Mission Statement
To help ISFA members become more profitable in their businesses by:

  • Promoting ISFA members and the products they offer,
  • Educating ISFA members to help them become better craftsmen and business people, and
  • Improving the industry through professionalism and honesty.

ISFA fulfills its Mission Statement through a host of programs and initiatives. They include:

Countertops & Architectural Surfaces: Distributed to 10,000 industry professionals and specifiers worldwide in print and another 20,000 in digital format, CAS magazine is the only publication covering the entire decorative surfacing industry. Each issue features the latest news, information, new products and fabrication techniques. Noteworthy projects are featured, as well as Fabricator Profiles and coverage of industry events. This coffee table quality publication is published quarterly, supplemented with an annual Buyer’s Guide issue.

World-Class Hands-On Fabrication Training: ISFA’s Total Fabrication Training has become the industry standard for solid surface, quartz and granite instruction. Total Fabrication Training instructors are seasoned industry professionals with advanced degrees in instruction in the industrial arts. ISFA instruction is recognized by all major manufacturers of solid surface for certification.

Lead Generation: ISFA promotes its fabricator members to end-users and specifiers through both its magazine – Countertops & Architectural Surfaces, where a list of ISFA Fabricator members is published in each issue, and its website ISFAnow.org. Select architects and designers known to be part of the countertop/surfacing specifying community receive the magazine, and consumers come to the site to learn more about countertop materials and accepted standards for workmanship. Architects and designers also visit ISFAnow.org to gain the latest information on decorative surfacing applications and to learn about material performance characteristics. The magazine and website make the connections between readers/visitors and ISFA fabricators through the Fabricator Directory and Find A Surfacing Professional search function visible on every page of the website.

Fabricator Events: At ISFA we believe that good things happen when fabricators get together. To facilitate those opportunities, ISFA works with its member partners everywhere to put on fabricator events that bring industry professionals together to learn, observe, connect and share. A typical fabricator event may include a shop tour, fabrication demonstrations, a segment on business training and vendor displays. For more information about upcoming events, emailgatherings@isfanow.org or call the main office at (412) 487-3207. You can also find information on our events here.

Knowledge Base and Member Support: Ultimately, ISFA is a resource to its members. Whether you are looking for the most recent warranty information, accepted fabrication techniques, or to find another member on the other side of the country to partner with on a project, ISFA is here to help.
