Advancing the Countertop Industry Through Advocacy
Advocacy is central to ISFA’s mission. Through structured, transparent processes, ISFA works to support the countertop industry by facilitating collaboration, addressing shared challenges, and providing an organized forum for industry participation
ISFA’s advocacy efforts focus on:
- Providing a formal structure for industry input
- Supporting fair, transparent decision-making
- Protecting manufacturers through documented processes and safeguards
- Ensuring industry positions are developed responsibly and collectively
A key component of ISFA’s advocacy framework is the American Countertop Manufacturers Council (ACMC).
American Countertop Manufacturers Council (ACMC)
ACMC participation is limited to fabricators and requires completion of an ACMC application.
The American Countertop Manufacturers Council (ACMC) is the industry’s formal consensus body for documenting, evaluating, and issuing unified positions on issues that affect countertop manufacturers in the United States.
Established under the stewardship of the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA), the ACMC provides a structured, transparent, and legally sound process for countertop manufacturers to raise concerns, share perspectives, and collectively determine the industry’s position on critical technical, regulatory, safety, and operational matters.
The ACMC exists to ensure that decisions impacting countertop manufacturers are informed by those who do the work—guided by due process and documented consensus rather than informal influence or fragmented advocacy.
